Welcome to the TuTu Benefit for Sherry Hagerman

In July 2006, Sherry was diagnosed with Scleroderma lungs (hardening of the skin and internal organs) and Pulmonary Hypertension. Her disease brought rapid deterioration of breathing and heart damage. She entered the University of San Francisco Medical Center so critically ill, she was to remain there until lungs became available for her transplant. In March 2008, she received her double lung transplant, her second chance at life.

"TuTu," as her grandchildren call her, along with her family and friends is raising funds for costly medications and post-transplant travel and lodging. She must reside in California for one year before she can return home to family and friends in Texas.

Her dream is to watch her two granddaughters grow and develop into lovely young ladies. Just holding their hands and walking down the street without struggling to breathe is a giant leap for "TuTu" (Hawaiian for grandmother).

YOU can make a difference TODAY!
Your tax-deductible donation to the National Foundation for Transplants Texas Lung Fund will help make it possible to provide Sherry the assistance she needs to pay for post-transplant treatment and medications.
